i have problem dunst - "lightweight" notification-deamon.
a couple times day seems drain of ram, 98%. have manually kill each time , annoys me. have not found answer why happens or how prevent it, using i3 window manager. appreciate answers can me. specifications can seen below:
specs:
msi gt780r-223ne (laptop) ubuntu 14.04 lts 64bit processor: intel® core™ i7-2630qm cpu @ 2.00ghz × 8 ram: 7,8 gib disk 729.8 gb graphics: nvidia gtx 560m edit: seems memory usage increases time, not sudden change. using spotify, , each time change song reserved memory usage increases ~80mb.
this problem discussed in this thread , solution seems to install alternative package dunst.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cpick/dunst sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade
