as xampp not working properly, have uninstalled computer. while installation, got warning message whether want delete htdocs folder too. programs in htdocs, have not deleted it. got no warning message databases , result have forgotten databases. have no backup copy too. after uninstallation, found xampp contains folder htdocs , no databases. there anyway restore databases? please help. anxious there lot of data , tables in databases.
according what exact location of mysql database tables in xampp folder?, xampp stores mysql datadir in c:\xampp\mysql\data on windows , /applications/xampp/xamppfiles/var/mysql on mac. unless manually changed datadir, database files stored in xampp folder. since folder has htdocs subdirectory now, unfortunately, database seems gone. if have file-level backups of old system, there's chance can restore database enough recover stored data.
