in gmail when file sent attachment email, recipient(s) can see small portion of contents of file before hovering on it. i'm curius , in fact interested in implementing in own application. i've tried inspect element couldn't quite how this. ok, images can understand how it's done. how pdf, word or excel document? take snapshot of portion of file , store along attachment later show inside container? has been able this? html , css enough?
may have found solution....
but updating answer found if use krajee plugin can type of preview of file. not giving gmail file preview giving other type plugin upload , preview images , files(almost every type). giving below links reference.
