i trying create wireframes win 8 , using blend make wireframes close actual app possible.
is there short quickstart guide can read start designing ui in blend?
i did google online of them vague in description on how design ui.
normally use sketchflow create wireframes, that's not available windows store. wpf, silverlight , windows phone (phone req. download codeplex).
to create wireframes need use else microsoft powerpoint. please note though, 1 of following versions of visual studio create wireframes in powerpoint:
- visual studio ultimate
- visual studio premium
- visual studio test professional.
if want use powerpoint wireframing; check microsoft guide out
hint: if using powerpoint: if search visual studio gallery “storyboard”, you’ll find lots of shapes there. link gallery , search here.
you can still use blend create mock ups. need drag controls onto screen , start laying out app. isn't wireframing, building prototype of app rather doing wireframes, different thing. can still create content in using blend , properties panel on right side of screen.
there's ton material available here on general design portal windows store apps: http://design.windows.com
if want wireframes looking close possible real deal, without building it, recommend doing wireframes in either adobe illustrator or adobe photoshop. there lot of assets available designing screens here
