ios - 3D model in XCode -


we building ipad application uses football stadium 3d model. screen should show stadium in 3d , user should able rotate it.

the model has been imported xcode (tried both .dae or .obj formats) , works, but:

1) rotation isn't smooth. slow , discrete.

2) application crashes time time admittedly due memory usage issue. application without model uses 20 mb of memory , when model inserted – 500 mb.

the size of model 50mb.

my guess model size (or detalization: polygons , textures) issue. i'm not in 3d stuff.

may advice if there way reduce file size not loosing in quality much?

what model size should considered normal used in ios applications? in advance.
