i have client owner of farm. wants monitorized 1000 cows has @ field. mainly,he wants identify cows individually , checks place tablet near specific door , check o them crossed door. possible? mean , bluethoot receiver able read 50 cows crossing simultaneously door?or overflows capacity of technology? how system needs configured ? tablet server , de bluethoot low energy devices clients? explanation appreciated
i'm not sure if bluetooth right technology that. if tablet can handle many connections simultaniously, not tell position of animal.
basicly detect in radius, wouldn't know if cow passed through or came close.

tablet acts "central" device, ble sensor "peripheral" device. depending on application both device act server or client. here: introduction ble can find brief introduction bluetooth low energy more details.
depending on gate size, nfc better choice.
